The Radford family, famed for their hit show 22 Kids and Counting, are about to welcome another bundle of joy as Sue Radford’s daughter Katie announces her pregnancy.
The ever-expanding clan, who have captured the nation’s heart with their supersized family, are set to grow once more. Katie and her boyfriend Connor took to Instagram to share the exciting news, complete with a gender reveal.
The couple played a game of football before 21-year-old Katie set off a cannon, revealing they were expecting a boy. Overjoyed, Katie captioned her social media post: “Baby Carter mummy and daddy can’t wait to meet you! “.
Sue Radford, mother of 22 and grandmother to 13, started her journey of motherhood 35 years ago after meeting her husband Noel in Kendal, Lake District, as teenagers. They tied the knot in 1992 when Sue was just 17, and their first child Chris, now 34, had already been born.
Their large family includes Sophie, 29, Chloe, 28, Jack, 26, Daniel, 24, Luke, 22, Millie, 22, Katie, 20, James, 19, Ellie, 18, Aimee, 17, Josh, 16, Max, 14, Tillie, 13, Oscar, 11, Casper, 10, Hallie, eight, Phoebe, seven, Archie, six, Bonnie, four, and Heidie, three. They also mourn the loss of Alfie, who was stillborn in 2014.
Katie, who still resides at home, had earlier this year expressed her desire for her boyfriend to move in with them.
Her sister Millie, who is already a mother of three, shared Katie’s announcement on her own Instagram Stories, exclaiming: “Finally another little boy! You’re going to be the best mummy ever, can’t wait to meet my baby nephew! “.
The show’s devotees were quick to extend their heartfelt congratulations to the expectant couple.
One said: “Connor’s genuine emotion of happy tears, just beautiful, what a guy. Congratulations to both of you. Katie, you are made for this.”
Another beamed: “I feel like I’ve missed a whole chapter!! Congratulations.”
While a third went on: “You’re going to make amazing parents! Seeing how you are with the younger ones. you’re just so natural both of you!” (sic)
“Ah this is so lovely. Massive congratulations to you both,” a fourth chimed in. (sic)
