Tyreek Hill’s fiancée was even surprised over their spontaneous wedding during the Dolphins’ bye week.
So much, that she didn’t believe the All-Pro wide receiver when he asked her to tie the knot during “a conversation that just came up” between the longtime couple.
Hill gushed over married life to reporters while in the Dolphins’ locker room ahead of Sunday’s game against the Raiders at home.
“I was spending a lot of time with my kids, spending a lot of time with her, and the conversation just came up,” the 29-year-old said in a video posted by TMZ.
“I was like, ‘Babe, we’ve been engaged so long, are you ready to tie the knot?’ It kind of caught her off guard.
“She didn’t believe me because we’ve been engaged ever since 2021. It was like, ‘OK, let’s go do it.’
“She was like, ‘Show me you’re for real.’ And we did it.”
Hill and Vaccaro tied the knot at a courthouse in Travis County, Texas on Nov. 8, according to TMZ.
He said the couple is planning a small celebration with their families in the near future.
“It was about time,” Hill said. “It was something we wanted to do over the bye week and we went through with it.
The Pro Bowl wideout added that married life “feels good,” and explained why he’s more mature at this stage in his career.
“I feel like everything that’s been to me has been for good reason,” he said. “I’ve been locked in at a different rate.”
“… I want every athlete to be successful as far as drinking, women, partying, as far as anything. I feel like I’m at the stage in my career now where I got to be more mature with anything I do outside of football.”
The couple announced their engagement on social media in July 2021.
Hill proposed to Vaccaro in front of a fireworks display and a massive sign that read: “Will you marry me?”
“The beginning of forever,” Hill wrote on Instagram at the time.
They are fairly private about their personal life.
“A lot of people really want to know what’s going on in my personal life,” Hill said in the latest installment of his “It Needed To Be Said” podcast. “The way I live, we don’t let a lot of people in our personal life.
“All it is was I just got back with my longtime fiancée. We went to the courthouse and we had a few conversations.
“… My mama always this, you can always tell when a man is married. He start gaining weight… If I’m at 205 [pounds] running a 4.5, it’s over.”
