Philadelphia fans aren’t sure where Taylor Swift’s loyalties lie.
A Philadelphia radio station, Q102, announced it would not be playing any Swift songs until after the “Monday Night Football” game between the Chiefs and the Eagles.
“This weekend we gotta focus, so we’ve been forced to punt Taylor Swift from the playlist,” Q102 on-air personality and Program Director Buster Satterfield said earlier this week on “Good Day Philadelphia,” per Deadline.
Swift, a native of West Reading, Pennsylvania, confirmed her fandom for the Eagles during her Eras Tour shows this year at Lincoln Financial Field.
The “Bad Blood” singer was raised on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania before moving to Nashville to pursue her singing career.
However, the “Cruel Summer” singer may have found herself in some hot water with Philadelphia fans as her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has taken the internet by storm since being linked in September.
Swift has been seen at four Chiefs games supporting her new beau, and Philly fans were quick to notice her sporting Chiefs attire as she watched.
But it may not only be the 12-time Grammy Award winner who is being persuaded.
Swift’s dad, Scott, was pictured wearing a Chiefs lanyard around his neck while in the VIP Suite with Kelce last Saturday at the singer’s Eras Tour concert in Argentina.
Adding fuel to the fire for Philadelphia fans, Swift changed the lyric in her song “Karma” to “the guy on the Chiefs” rather than “guy on the screen,” referencing her new relationship.
Much to the dismay of Eagles fans, when Swift is in attendance at Chiefs games, Kelce has seen an uptick in his performance.
Even Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said, “Taylor can stay around as long as she wants.”
Although Monday’s Chiefs-Eagles game is at Kansas City, both Swift and Kelce’s parents will be in attendance, especially with brother Jason playing center for the Eagles.
Before the game, you may hear about the Super Bowl rematch and the Kelce brother matchup, but you will most likely not be hearing any of Swift’s music if you listen to Q102.
