If you’re looking for information about Angel Reese, LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey doesn’t have an answer for you.

And don’t try asking her.

The Tigers coach wasn’t going to divulge any information regarding the ongoing absence of LSU basketball star Angel Reese, who missed her second consecutive game on Monday.

“Were you at the press conference the other day?” Mulkey asked when a reporter raised the question of whether Reese had been practicing or not.

When the media member responded that they had been, Mulkey said she was just going to give the same answer she had on Friday again.

When he tried to ask about Reese’s status for an upcoming trip to the Caymen Islanders for a tournament, Mulkey got snippy with him.

“I’m not,” Mulkey started to interject before the question was even asked.

“If I had I wouldn’t tell you. You’re not entitled to that information,” she responded.

“So I’ll say it again, Angel was not in uniform tonight. Angel is a part of this basketball team and Angel will be back sooner than later.”

Despite the two terse answers, the brave reporter circled back to his original question about her practicing.

Mulkey dismissed the question simply saying, “I’ve given you my answer.”

Reese, who helped LSU win a national title last season and has become one of the most recognizable names in women’s college basketball, has not played since last Tuesday.

She was benched in the second half of that game in what was described as a “coach’s decision.”

Reese did not play on Friday against Southeastern Louisiana and then wasn’t in the lineup for Monday’s win over Texas Southern University.

Why Reese hasn’t played remains a closely guarded secret as rumors have continued to swirl.

Reese is averaging 17.0 points and 10.3 rebounds in four games this season.
