The MCU is currently in the middle of its Multiverse saga with stars of 2000s Fox and Sony Marvel movies reprising their roles.

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returned as their Peter Parkers in Spider-Man No Way Home, while Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is starring in 2024’s Deadpool 3.

But apparently, this is just the beginning, with plans afoot for more multiverse traversing fan service.

The next two Avengers movies aren’t set for release until 2026 and 2027, but it’s clear Marvel Studios have massive plans according to new leaks. Warning: Potential spoilers ahead.

A previous report claimed that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will see the Earth-616 superheroes defeated by the Council of Kangs before Marvel characters from non-MCU universes team-up to save them in Avengers Secret Wars.

According to reliable scoopers MyTimeToShineHello and CanWeGetSomeToast, Maguire’s Spider-Man and Jackman’s Wolverine will share the big screen as the two leads in Secret Wars.

They report that the pair will head up the TVA’s multiversal army that will also include Deadpool and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, who is “the chosen one of the MCU”.

On top of that, Holland’s Spidey is expected to wear the symbiote suit from the Secret Wars comic.

This makes sense as a piece of Tom Hardy’s Venom was left behind in the MCU when he briefly travelled there in the end credits scene of Spider-Man No Way Home.

On top of all this, it looks like Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will be getting “a huge role in Avengers Secret Wars”.

Loki season 2 concluded with Loki replacing He Who Remains by embracing the burden of his Glorious Purpose and becoming the God of Stories.

As guardian of the multiverse timelines, presumably he’ll be a very important figure in Avengers Secret Wars.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty hits cinemas on May 1, 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars follows on May 7, 2027.
