Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s absence from Christmas at Sandringham won’t result in tears from Prince William, according to a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already indicated that they’d be “happy to accept” an invitation to spend the holidays with the royal family, but it seems as though that sentiment is not reciprocated.

The feuding brothers have been at odds ever since the Sussexes quit royal life in 2020 and hightailed it across the pond.

And it looks like a reconciliation between them is not on the cards anytime soon, claims royal expert Jennie Bond.

“Harry’s absence from the celebrations at Sandringham will be painfully obvious,” Bond told The Sun.

“Little Archie and Lilibet should be running around with their many cousins, pulling crackers, opening presents and understanding their place in the family, connecting with their relatives even though their lives are thousands of miles away.”

“But that’s not going to happen. I don’t think William will be shedding a tear over this,” she continued.

“Deep down, I’m sure he still loves Harry, but I don’t think he can see a way out of the rift that has opened between them.”

Bond said that William, who is the heir to the throne, is “thriving on his own.”

“He is fiercely facing forward with his life, he’s forging ahead with his causes and preaching hope and optimism about projects to save the planet,” she said.

“He is shining on the world stage and, in truth, he’s probably quite happy not to share it with Harry.”

“I think William has closed his mind to the prospect of reconciliation with Harry, and I can’t see a time when Meghan would be welcomed back into the bosom of the family — or a time when she would ever want to be welcomed back,” Bond went on.

“I doubt that William thinks about them for more than a fleeting moment — and then he probably tries to blank out those thoughts.”

The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.

The Sussexes skipped out on merry festivities with the royal family last year, and according to a royal source, they likely won’t be welcome this year.

A source told The Telegraph this week that despite “friends of the Sussexes” saying the couple would be open to Christmas at Sandringham to “change the state of play,” it appears as though not all royals are on board.

Another source told the Daily Mail that senior members of the royal family, including William, will not want Meghan and Harry there.

“It seems as if they are really doubling down on their reconciliation strategy,” a source told the outlet.

The insider added that it was “bizarre” for the Sussexes to suggest they could just “waltz back in and allow bygones to be bygones if only someone would be good enough to invite them.”

“Which begs the question, why now?” the insider added. “Could it be that they have realized moaning about how awful being a member of the royal family is, isn’t such a great strategy after all?”
