Taylor Swift is celebrating her upcoming 34th birthday by giving Swifties the greatest gift of all. “Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!” Swift announced on her social on Monday morning (Nov. 27) of the surprise news that the record-setting film will be available on-demand next month.
The news got even better when Swift added that the already three-hour-plus concert film will be available in an expanded version including performances of “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer” and “Long Live.” The movie will be available to rent on-demand in the U.S., Canada and additional countries that will be announced soon.
Naturally, the roll-out will begin on Swift’s bday, Dec. 13.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour opened in October with more than $92.8 million in grosses, instantly becoming the top-grossing concert film in history after just one weekend. The Eras Tour film was shot over the course of Swift’s first three shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., where she performed six shows in early August. The film was directed by Sam Wrench, who received a Grammy nomination late last year for directing Billie Eilish Live at the O2, which was a contender for best music film.
Swift just wrapped a South American run of Eras shows and is slated to take a few months off from the road before returning on Feb. 7 for a run of four shows at the Tokyo Dome in Japan before moving on to a run of shows in Australia.
