Jamie Lynn Spears has had a very emotional time in camp and has frequently been filmed in floods of tears over the difficult conditions and missing her family back home.

The younger sister of Britney Spears has since decided to quit the jungle altogether.

A spokesperson said: “Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”

During Tuesday’s show, viewers saw Jamie Lynn break down in tears once again after being offered a small square of chocolate by her campmates.

She began crying after eating the treat, as she took herself away for time alone and was later comforted by former boxer Tony Bellew.

The chocolate bar came as a reward after Marvin, Sam and Tony’s successes at The Misery Hotel, offering the campmates their first taste of chocolate since entering the jungle.

Body language expert Darren Stanton suggested Jamie Lynn would not quit the show despite her “cry for help” in the camp.

“Jamie Lynn is an interesting character. She’s an empath, so she likes a lot of hugs and reassurance from her campmates,” he told Betfair Bingo. “She needs helping quite a lot.”

He continued: “When she began to cry during last night’s episode, she briefly looked up from her hood to see if anyone was there. I think that was almost like a cry for help.

“That’s not to say she’s been disingenuous or inauthentic – I genuinely think she was feeling a little bit low. She wanted to put a signal out there to her campmates.

“The fact she recovered quite quickly from crying is not a signal of her being deceptive. People do move in and out of emotions quite quickly.”

Darren added: “They can be very upset one minute, then they can change their emotions in a heartbeat. Jamie Lynn says she wants to leave, but by the same token, she’s quite a resilient and strong person. I don’t think she will leave voluntarily.

“I thought it was interesting that Sam accused Jamie Lynn of crying wolf.

“I think most of the campmates have realised that she’s a bit of an attention seeker and she does need reassurance, but I think she’s just an emotional person. She likes her home comforts.”

During Tuesday’s episode Jamie Lynn took herself away from camp to cry.

When she walked back in, fellow campmates Tony and Danielle Harold checked up on her.

Tony said: “OK, mate?” while Danielle gave her a cuddle.

Jamie Lynn said: “That little square of chocolate p*****d me off.”

Danielle said: “It’s because it gives you a taste of what’s outside…”

Jamie Lynn laughed: “I probably should have just let someone eat it. I feel a little better maybe. I just needed to cry.”

Nick Pickard encouraged her: “Have a little cry J.”

Her exit comes just two days after fellow campmate Grace Dent also quit the jungle on medical grounds.
