I’m A Celebrity‘s Nella Rose was reportedly featured on a new Moonpig greetings card, bearing her face along with the words “I’m really offended that it’s your birthday!” The card, which now seems to have been withdrawn from sale, seemingly poked fun at a meltdown the YouTuber had on the show, after First Dates star Fred Sirieix joked that he was old enough to be her father.

The comment wasn’t well received by Nella, who had earlier told Fred she’d lost her father three years ago, and now has no surviving parents. She poured her heart out in the Bush Telegraph afterwards, telling the nation: “Last night after dinner Fred made a comment about him basically how he could be my dad.

“I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away.” Nella then refused to eat any food that trained chef Fred had prepared in camp, leading the concerned TV personality to urge: “Seriously, Nella, you should eat, don’t you think?”

However, she explained: “I kind of thought about it and I was just like, this is not the kind of person I want to be around.” She exclaimed to an apologetic Fred: “I don’t want to be around you. I only allow people to disrespect me once. You hurt my feelings. I was very upset… I don’t want to eat your food, I don’t want to talk to you. You live on that side [of camp], I live on this side.”

Moonpig’s controversial card capturing the YouTuber’s face in a moment of indignation then became available for public sale – and I’m A Celebrity fans have had a lot to say about it. Some threatened to boycott the brand for its “insensitive” joke, while one even suggested Nella should sue the company.

One social media user exclaimed: “I don’t like Nella but even I think this is going too far. Surely she could sue Moon Pig for defamation of character.”

Another tweeted: “So Nella’s going to come out of the jungle and see corporations like @MoonpigUK mocking the trauma she’s faced losing both of her parents recently? Cool.”

A third follower of the show declared that she was “never” using Moonpig again.

However, others argued that the divisive card was a lighthearted joke, with a fan insisting: “They’re not mocking her trauma, they’re mocking the fact she was offended by a simple figure of speech. It’s really not that deep.”

The card no longer appears to be on sale.

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for the greetings card company for comment.

Meanwhile, Nella’s trial had to be taken on by former Brexit party leader Nigel Farage and Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard, after she became ill and had to be rushed out of camp and seen by medics.

An ITV spokesperson explained that she had been removed temporarily to be “treated by the show’s on-site medics” for an undisclosed health concern, but later returned to camp.
