Hot off the heels of his messy divorce earlier this year, Kevin Costner has seemingly hit it off with renowned singer-songwriter Jewel after being introduced to the 49-year-old through their mutual pal Richard Branson.

However, the Hollywood star and the musician are reportedly “not serious right now, but they are having fun.”

A source close to Jewel told the Daily Mail that the Grammy nominee “is all about Kevin’s country western vibe” and that their casual blossoming romance has reinvigorated the singer.

They also noted that Virgin Group founder Richard was “100 percent responsible” for the connection after introducing the pair decades ago.

The two A-listers have been longtime friends since their first meeting in the 1990s but their friendship recently reached a new level when they were spotted on Richard’s Caribbean island.

The billionaire reportedly invited the Yellowstone star to the A-list event in a bid to distract him after battling his now ex-wife Christine Baumgartner in court over the last few months after ending their 18-year-long marriage.

Their divorce was finalized in October as the former couple shared a joint statement with the Daily Mail assuring that the final agreement was “amicable” and that they had found a “mutually agreed upon resolution” for the various dilemmas they faced during the proceedings.

In the Caribbean last month, Kevin was pictured with his arms around Jewel’s waist as they took part in a tennis fundraiser for the Inspiring Children Foundation, which Jewel founded.

A source told TMZ at the time that they had flown out to Necker Island together and had spent a lot of time together during the week, alongside playing tennis with their mutual pal.

They added: “They were flirty, and when they were together, it was like they both just lit up.”

While Jewel is notoriously “picky” about who she dates, the source claimed Kevin “fits the bill.”

Following the star-studded fundraiser, the singer shared a sincere note of gratitude on social media and highlighted Kevin’s generosity saying he was “kind enough to mentor our kids this year.”

They were also joined by the likes of Emma Watson and Michael Bolton at the private island during Thanksgiving.
