Film’s biggest stars are out in force for the 2024 BAFTAs at the Royal Festival Hall in London tonight as the winners of the UK’s biggest film awards are being announced.

Stars were arriving from late afternoon as fans eagerly waited to try and catch a glimpse of their idols. David Tennant and wife Georgia were among the first to arrive, and the Harry Potter star happily posed for selfies with the crowd, who had been waiting for hours for the nominees to arrive.

The star studded guest list includes Maestro stars Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan, Poor Things actress Emma Stone, Oppenhemier’s Emily Blunt, Saltburn star Richard E. Grant and Barbie’s Margot Robbie. Leading tonight’s nominations is Christopher Nolan’s biopic Oppenheimer with 13, followed by Poor Things, which has 11 nods.

Both movies are nominated for for best film, while Oppenheimer has also received nods for adapted screenplay, director for Christopher Nolan, supporting actress for Emily Blunt, supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr. and lead actor for Cillian Murphy. Meanwhile Poor Things is also competing for adapted screenplay, in addition to leading actress for Emma Stone and outstanding British film.

The ceremony kicks off at 5pm and will be broadcast on BBC One at 7pm. Stay tuned here for updates on all the winners as they happen.
