Venom 3 is set to hit cinemas later this year and Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock has been on quite the multiversal journey.

In the end credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, he decides to take a holiday in Mexico where Venom tells him there are other universes.

Suddenly the pair are transported from their reality to the MCU where they watch J Jonah Jameson on TV revealing Spider-Man’s identity as Peter Parker; in a scene from the end credits of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Venom didn’t show up in Spider-Man No Way Home despite five villains and two Peter Parkers from two other Sony universes colliding in the box office smash.

However, Hardy had a cameo in the end credits scene, sitting at a bar in Mexico in the MCU, before disappearing and returning to his own reality – but leaving a piece of the symbiote behind.

Now Hardy has shared a new set photo from Venom 3 with three others and captioned the post: “Two Masters of their own destiny and two randoms from SW London spinning in the cosmos one with a compass the other wears his wetsuit and carries an aubergine.”

Fans have spotted that if you look closely, the Hollywood star is wearing the same outfit he wore when travelling across the multiverse: first in the Venom: Let There Be Carnage end credits scene and then the Spider-Man: No Way Home one.

This means that the scene he was shooting for Venom 3 takes place right after he arrives back in his universe after leaving the MCU.

Venom 3 hits cinemas on November 8, 2024.
