Tony Maudsley suggested Sharon Osbourne has got the better end of the bargain as her list of demands was met before she even made her debut on Celebrity Big Brother on Monday evening.

The 71 year old media icon became the ITV programme’s first-ever celebrity contestant lodger after signing up for a five-day stint on the show at a reported eye-watering cost of £100,000 a day.

Taking to X on Thursday (March 6) the Coronation Street star praised the former X Factor judge for having Big Brother “wrapped around her finger” in a cheeky post.

He told his 100,000 followers: “Sharon’s basically got Big Brother wrapped around her little finger. Luxury private bedroom…non-embarrassing fancy dress outfits…and £100k a day!!!! She won’t want to go home when her 5 days is up!! #CBBUK.”

Social media users flocked to comment on the post as his Coronation Street co-star Claire Sweeney tweeted: “Isn’t she fabulous!”

Another penned: “She looks very serious. I’d do it for 50k per day and a big smile.”

A third commented: “Nice work if you can get it!”

“Good on her. She set the price. They could have left it and chosen someone else,” a fourth mused.

The exciting twist was announced during Monday night’s episode, with AJ Odudu revealing that Sharon will be this year’s “lodger”. This means that Sharon won’t be in the house for long, but will have a very special role.

She has also managed to wrangle herself a few extra perks that her other fellow celebrities won’t have access to.

The wife of Ozzy Osbourne has been given her own private suite away from the other stars which comes complete with her very own private bathroom.

Sharon previously opened up about why she would not be staying for the full three weeks.

“I don’t want to stay away from Ozzy for too long. We’re so close as a family. I don’t think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever,” she shared with the Daily Mail.

The Black Sabbath rocker told the world he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2020.
