Former glamour model Katie Price has reportedly been told to “vacate” her £2 million Mucky Mansion. The reality TV star is believed to have been handed an “eviction notice” and has just weeks to leave her home.
It comes just over a month after she was found guilty of driving without insurance or a licence. Katie has also recently been declared bankrupt for a second time over an unpaid tax bill.
According to The Mirror, the 45-year old was sent a letter by Horsham County Court dated April 24 2024, stating that ‘the eviction will take place on May 29, 2024, at 10am’.
The letter also stated: “The court has issued a warrant or writ for the possession of the above property (land) at the request of the claimant.
“A warrant gives a county court bailiff the authority to evict you and hand over possession to the claimant. A writ gives a High Court Enforcement Officer the authority to evict you and hand over possession to the claimant.
“In this notice, the term “Authorised Person” is used to refer to either the Bailiff or the High Court Enforcement Officer.”
Katie, who was previously declared bankrupt in 2019, moved into her £2 million mansion in 2014. The model is believed to owe £761,994.05 to HM Revenue and Customs, a court was told in March.
She had previously been warned that she could lose her home if she failed to pay the £750,000 sum in tax, VAT, and other fees. The mansion reportedly cost her £1.4 million originally, and recently featured in a Channel 4 renovation series.
Katie also recently failed to appear in High Court, where she was meant to give evidence about her finances. However, due to “health issues” she couldn’t attend at the last minute.
In March, Katie spoke about her “money woes” but insisted that nobody would take her mansion away. She said: “You’ve followed my life, my journey, I say it as it is. Yes, I’m in a bankruptcy. But guess what? I own my house. No one could take it off me as well.”
Earlier this year in February, she was ordered by a High Court judge to pay 40 per cent of her income from OnlyFans to trustees for the next three years in a separate dispute over unpaid debts.
