The Knicks’ roster and depth has taken plenty of big blows lately, and they needed some big plays from some other role players.
Enter Alec Burks in Game 3.
The Knicks shooting guard, who had logged just one minute on the floor this postseason, had 13 points on 4 of 4 shooting from the field, including two from 3-point land, in the first half against the Pacers.
He logged 12 minutes, the first time he had played double-digit minutes since April 12 against the Nets.
With OG Anunoby out for the game with a hamstring issue and Jalen Brunson playing through a sore foot, Burks provided some key depth in the opening two quarters.
He did, however, take a key flagrant 1 foul at the end of the second quarter against Myles Turner.
It led to four points going to Indiana after two charity stripe makes and a Pascal Siakam two-pointer off the ensuing possession.
