Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara has shared an emotional tribute after confirming one of her friends has passed away.

She took to her Instagram Stories with a picture of her friend Anthony “TJ” Paradise, cuddling his dog, as she confirmed he has passed away.

Janette penned: “Goodbye my beautiful friend”, as she added a simple white heart to the Story post.

TJ passed away on May 7, with his husband Bobby Newbury confirming the news with a devastating Instagram post at the time, saying: “With the heaviest heart I have to let everyone know that my beautiful husband T.J. lost his four year battle with cancer on 5/4/24.

“He was surrounded by loved ones and even in this dark time there was so much light and love in the room.”

“If you met him even once you knew how much of an impact he had on the world around him. Nothing will ever be the same.

“I had twenty and a half years of love and memories and now I have a lifetime of missing you. I love you, my sweetheart.”

Janette replied: “I love you Bobby. Sending all the love and light during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.”

TJ’s memorial service took place on May 18, with friends confirming his obituary instructed people to have fun, saying: “In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you treat yourself to a fancy meal at your favourite restaurant – that’s what TJ would have wanted”.

Meanwhile, Janette has been busy recently as she attended Morning Live presenter Michelle Ackerley’s surprise hen do as she shared pictures on her social media page.

She wrote: “Had a @bbcmorninglive surprise Hen party for @michelle_ackerley last night! What a night we had celebrating love and the future!”

The pictures showed Michelle dressed up as Elvis Presley as her friends gathered around her at a dinner table, as Janette shared some cosy selfies with some of the attendees, including Dr Ranj and Gethin Jones.
