Carol Vorderman recently wowed her Instagram followers in an outfit consisting of a long-sleeve top and leather pencil skirt that showcased her curves. The leather midi skirt is from Sosandar and costs £155, but we’ve found some high street alternatives so that you can recreate the presenter’s stunning look for less.
In the reel posted on her Instagram page, Carol is asking her followers to solve a tricky question. The cream Sosandar skirt she’s wearing has a matching buckle belt and intricate stitching. River Island is selling a near-identical version of the skirt worn by Carol.
The Cream Faux Leather Belted Midi Skirt is slightly longer in length, but it offers a lot of the same features, including a matching belt and stitch detailing. It’s available in sizes 6 to 18 and is currently on sale on the River Island website for just £22, down from £45.
An alternative statement pencil skirt from Jigsaw offers similar detailing and belt loops for you to add your own belt to style the skirt to your taste. The Patent Pencil Skirt is also slightly longer than the skirt worn by Carol, sitting just below the knee, and has a slit at the front of the skirt making movement easy despite its longer length. Jigsaw’s skirt is currently on sale for £75 and is available in sizes 6 to 18.
If you’re not set on the cream colour of Carol’s skirt, Karen Milen is selling a Camel Faux Leather Pencil Skirt for £81.75, down from £109. Like the Sosandar skirt, it has corset-style seaming that gives your figure an hourglass shape. It also has belt loops and a midi hemline, and is available in sizes 6 to 16.
If you like Vorderman’s leather skirt but would rather have it in black, New Look’s Gini London Black Leather-Look Skirt is a great alternative. Similar to the Sosander skirt, it falls to a midi length, has a high-waist design and comes with belt loops. The skirt is available in sizes 8 to 16 and costs £38.
Looking for a leather skirt with more length? PrettyLittleThing is selling a Stone Faux Leather High Waist Maxi Skirt that’s currently on sale for just £11.60, down from £29, and is available in sizes 4 to 16. As well as being longer than Carol’s skirt, it is a lot more simple, with it not having any belt loops or stitch detailing. It does, however, feature an attractive split hem at the back, offering the same flattering look as the Sosandar skirt.
