Anton Du Beke shared his sadness as one of his tour dates had been cancelled.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge, 57, was due to hit the road with his co-star Giovanni Pernice, whose live tour in Cardiff has also been cancelled.
It comes as the venue hosting the event announced it will be closed for construction checks.
Taking to his Instagram stories on Monday night, Anton re-shared the post as he added a sad face emoji.
The message read: “UPDATE – Sadly as the venue remains closed indefinitely due to the RAAC Concrete issue, the following performances at St David’s Hall, Cardiff have been cancelled.”
Giovanni’s Let Me Entertain You, An Evening With Anton Du Beke and Anton & Giovanni – Together, which were to be held at the venue in the New Year, have been cancelled.
The Italian ballroom dancer has faced another setback as his upcoming show which was to be held at St David’s Hall in Cardiff on January 24, 2024, will no longer take place.
“St David’s Hall will be closed until the new year to undertake additional checks on the Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) panels in the building,” a statement on the venue’s official website read, before adding information on how to receive a refund.
The news coincides with the announcement that his dance partner Amanda Abbington has withdrawn from this year’s Strictly.
It Takes Two host Fleur East confirmed on Monday’s episode of the spin-off show that the Sherlock star would no longer be participating in the BBC competition due to medical reasons.
A Strictly spokesperson said in a statement: “Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition. The show wishes her all the best for the future.”
Giovanni also addressed the news, writing on Instagram: “I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love.”
