As she gears up to return to Outnumbered for it’s Christmas special, star of the show Ramona Marquez looks world’s away from her character Karen Brockman if her Instagram is anything to go by. The last episode aired eight years ago and Ramona was just six years old when she appeared on the show, and so it’s only natural she’s all grown up.

The actress, 23, often posts selfies on her page for her 118 thousand followers to see, and it looks like she’s a fan of tattoos. In various pictures, Ramona shows off her inkings on her stomach, arms and hands, as she also sports a full fringe, looking completely different from what fans will remember her as.

Outnumbered first aired in 2007 and went on to have five hit series, as well as four Christmas special episodes. It was revealed earlier this week that the much-loved show will be back this year for yet another festive episode as all five lead characters are reprising their roles.

Hugh Dennis will step back into his role as the beleaguered father Pete, alongside Claire Skinner who returns as the ever-patient mother Sue.

The Brockman children, played by Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche, are also making a comeback, now portraying their characters as adults.

The upcoming special promises to deliver a slice of the Brockman family chaos, as the now-adult children return home for a traditional Christmas celebration, only to encounter the usual blend of mishaps and mayhem.

In an interview with the Mirror, Hugh Dennis expressed his excitement: “I can’t wait for the Brockmans to be back together again.

“Pete and Sue have downsized, the children are no longer children, but I’m sure family life will prove to be just as chaotic as ever”, reports OK!

Claire Skinner echoed his sentiments, saying: “I’m really looking forward to being reunited with my TV family.

“Working on this wonderful BBC comedy doesn’t feel like work and is one of the greatest joys for us all.”

Daniel Roche shared his enthusiasm on social media, posting a photo with co-stars Tyger and Ramona, captioning it: “We all know Christmas is the time for family, so after several years away, the Brockman family will be returning to your screens Christmas 2024. Look forward to joining you.”

The revival of the show was announced on Wednesday 22 May at the BBC‘s comedy festival in Glasgow.

Comedy chief Jon Petrie expressed: “Outnumbered is one of the crown jewels of British sitcoms. We’re so grateful to Guy, Andy, Hattrick, and the cast for dusting it off and putting it back on display.”
