With the warm weather and festival season fast approaching, artists are sharing some of their most exciting tracks in order to keep the fans moving throughout the year. Dropping a new anthem just in time is Greggio, whose latest EP is built for late nights and good times.
March is generally when the dance music world really wakes up each year, as Miami Music Week and Ultra Music Festival bring fans together and the Ibiza clubs reveal their residencies for the season. In preparation, Greggio has just shared his two-track Higher EP, a hard-hitting collection of massive tracks alongside ID ID. The title track offers a slow burn until the male topline comes in, and the percussion builds to a massive bass melody for the drop. The second track, Up In My Sights, follows a similar pattern, but both producers are careful not to repeat themselves, allowing them to explore a more frantic vocal sample and somewhat straightforward track without sacrificing energy.
Discussing the work on the music, Greggio says, ‘We didn’t want to overthink it. The focus was on energy and momentum. Something that could live in those long nights where the dancefloor never really empties. We built it around groove first, then added elements that create tension and a bit of instability, so it never feels too safe. It had to feel alive, not perfect.’ That energy clearly comes through in both Higher and Up In My Sights, as the steady percussion and thick bass lines jump out from the speakers to grab listeners’ attention. With the Higher EP, Greggio and ID ID have delivered two new tracks that are sure to be staples of playlists and club stages all year long.
