Amsterdam Dance Event has officially launched the celebrations for its 30th anniversary edition, announcing legendary electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre as the event’s guest of honour for ADE 2026.

The milestone edition of ADE will take place October 21–25, 2026, bringing together artists, industry leaders and fans from across the global electronic music community. Notably, Jean-Michel Jarre will play a central role in the celebrations, headlining the Opening Concert at AFAS Live, appearing for a keynote interview at ADE Pro, and participating in additional program moments throughout the week.

Jean-Michel Jarre to headline ADE Opening Concert

As part of the official ADE Opening Concerts, Jean-Michel Jarre will return to the Netherlands for a special performance at AFAS Live. MOJO and Insomniac present the show, bringing Jarre’s renowned large-scale audiovisual productions into one of Amsterdam’s most iconic venues.

The performance arrives at a particularly symbolic moment in electronic music history. While ADE celebrates its 30-year legacy, Jarre simultaneously marks the 50th anniversary of his groundbreaking album ‘Oxygène’, a record widely recognized as one of the most influential electronic works ever created.

Speaking about the event, Jean-Michel Jarre said:

“Electronic music, as well as ADE, has a history, a legacy and a future. The live show at ADE is going to celebrate its 30th anniversary, but also the 50th anniversary of Oxygène. I have the ambition to keep the suspense and move from one atmosphere to another through stage design, projections and architecture of lights and videos to create a moment people will remember forever.”

Beyond the concert, Jarre will also join ADE Pro for a keynote interview exploring his decades-long influence on electronic music culture. Throughout his career, the French visionary has consistently pushed the boundaries of sound, technology and live performance, staging historic concerts at locations such as the Eiffel Tower, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, and Tiananmen Square.

Meanwhile, ADE itself has grown into the world’s leading electronic music conference and festival since its launch in 1996, helping shape the global industry through innovation, networking and cultural exchange.

Additional 30-year anniversary events, specials and initiatives will be announced in the coming months. Tickets for Jean-Michel Jarre’s Opening Concert at AFAS Live go on sale March 13 via MOJO, while ADE Pro Early Bird passes become available starting March 11.
