Charlotte de Witte has released her new three-track EP ‘Amor‘ featuring Brazilian vocalist CERES, out now on her KNTXT imprint. Notably, the release marks one of the year’s most anticipated techno drops and pulls Charlotte de Witte’s signature sound into a new collaborative space.
The EP centres on CERES. Meanwhile, her breathy, full-toned Portuguese vocals thread through all three tracks. The Brazilian singer, DJ and producer favours techno with tasty slices of UKG, and that hybrid feel runs through the whole record.
Subtle motifs link the three tracks. Crucially, the connections give the impression of a suite rather than three standalone cuts. Furthermore, the vinyl edition adds an Instrumental Mix of closer ‘O Movimento’ for collectors.
“This EP is inspired by my love for Portugal and Brazil, the country, the people, the food, the culture,” Charlotte de Witte explained. “Made with lots of amor.” The title track delivers a galloping beat starred with spacey FX. In turn, a hoover siren builds tension as CERES begins her rhyming chant. A sprinkle of acid then escalates into a sulphuric tidal wave that anchors the cut.
‘Sem Ar’, meaning ‘Airless’, shifts gears. Equally, frantic rattling percussion overlays a fast beat that leans toward breakbeat. CERES’ resonant voice gets showcased in an acapella breakdown before her soulful tone morphs into a sharp, penetrating acid robot. ‘O Movimento’, meaning ‘Movement’, closes the EP. Still, the speeding beat with hi-hat backbone duels with CERES’ near-breathless vocal as acid filters build through the arrangement.
The release lands inside one of the busiest stretches of Charlotte de Witte’s career. Moreover, recent milestones include two 23,000-capacity Flanders Expo shows, her debut album with a Deluxe Edition to follow, and press coverage across Vogue, DJ Mag, Mixmag, Rolling Stone, Billboard, BBC 6 Music and Zane Lowe.
The 2026 calendar continues to bloom. In short, headlining slots include Time Warp Brazil, EDC Las Vegas, We Love Green, Kappa Futur Festival, Awakenings, Sonar and UNVRS Ibiza. ‘Amor’ is out now on KNTXT across streaming platforms.
