Los Angeles-based DJ, producer and songwriter Jaden Bojsen makes his Insomniac Records debut with ‘ERICA’, his first release on the label’s tech-house imprint Gotta Move. The track lands as a stripped-back, late-night tech-house cut built on rubbery basslines, sparse percussion and squelchy synth textures, with a spoken-word-style vocal carrying the topline in place of a sung hook.

Crucially, the new single sits between tech-house, house and a harder, urban-leaning edge. As a result, the track lands with a dancefloor-focused groove that keeps shifting and building as it goes. Made for the later, darker end of a set, it leans on rhythm and attitude over melody.

Notably, ‘ERICA’ follows a busy run for the LA producer. The single arrives on the back of Bojsen‘s recent collaboration with David Guetta and his solo single ‘Lighthouse’. Furthermore, the release extends his shift from pop frontman to a producer increasingly at home in dance music.

Meanwhile, Bojsen opened up about the new track. “My new song ERICA is a fun, energetic house track that feels fresh, exciting, and unlike anything I’ve released before. While producing it, we had an amazing time in the studio because the vibe was so new and inspiring, yet it still kept that cool, signature energy,” he shared.

Equally, he framed the track as a dancefloor tool. “It’s the kind of record I can easily imagine DJs everywhere playing, bringing people together on dance floors around the world,” Bojsen added. Indeed, the move to Gotta Move marks his first release on the Insomniac family of labels.

Furthermore, the wider Bojsen story stretches across pop and dance. As a multitalented DJ, he produces most of his music from his home base in Los Angeles. He has also received multiple awards at a young age, including the US Teen Choice Award.

Crucially, his earlier story was a pop-front one. Bojsen and his US boy band New District were awarded the Golden Theme 2016 as the most popular boy band by BRAVO magazine. As a result, that early pop-world reach has fed directly into his current sound.

Equally, his international footprint is strong. Bojsen has played at some of the best nightclubs and festivals across Europe, Asia and the US, including Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Meanwhile, his presence on social media keeps gaining the attention of audiences worldwide.

Still, the personal side stays grounded. When he is not in his music production studio, Bojsen loves to find peace surfing in Malibu. In short, with his unique skillset as a performer, songwriter and producer, music means one thing to him — a way of life. ‘ERICA’ is the latest signal of that mission.
