Kaeno is back with one of the heaviest cuts of his current era. The Miami-born DJ, producer and creative director has just dropped ‘Break Me Down’ on his own The Vanishing Point Recordings, and the result is a proper peaktime techno weapon designed for mainstage moments and 3 a.m. club rooms alike.
From the opening bars, the track lands with massive kicks, dark atmospherics and an unmistakable mainstage-scale energy. Sitting right at the intersection of techno and trance, the Miami producer engineered the cut for fans of both worlds: trance lovers chasing the touch of techno propulsion, and techno heads chasing those emotional trance lifts that hit between the kicks.
The track has all the markers of a properly crafted club weapon. The dramatic breakdown unwinds into hypnotic repeating vocals that snowball into the kind of hype-build climax that has dancefloors counting bars. From there it explodes back into a tightly engineered drop, with the arrangement, mix, basslines and that signature snarling kick programming all locking into a textbook peaktime techno blueprint built for both club and festival.
The Miami producer broke down the inspiration himself.
“The inspiration behind ‘Break Me Down’ comes from the raw foundation of classic techno, fused with the groove and movement of house, the emotional lift of trance leads, and dark v-coder-style vocals that cut through the track like a distorted inner voice. It was built to feel both familiar and futuristic, capturing that underground energy where rhythm, tension, and reflection collide. The result is a track that pulls from the past while breaking into something heavier, deeper, and more personal.”

That fusion language is exactly what the Miami producer has been chasing across his recent run. His debut artist album ‘Nefarious Things’, released in late 2025 via The Vanishing Point Recordings, was praised for its ability to blend driving techno with emotive trance and progressive depth across 14 tracks that included ‘Feel Alive’ with Sean Truby, ‘Lost in Echoes’ with Derek Ryan, ‘Shinkansen Dreams’ with Nite Mrkt, and the deeply personal ‘Semper Fi’, a tribute to his father.
The Miami producer’s story stretches back more than 25 years, from his early underground days in Miami in 1999, through his long-running Sirius Satellite Radio residency, over a million podcast subscribers on iTunes, and global touring stops including a Dreamstate Long Beach appearance and a Tokyo techno headline set at AVA Music. With The Vanishing Point Recordings, he has also built a fully fledged global label and platform that uplifts minority voices in underground dance.
