One of the most enduring mysteries in Avicii fan culture has finally been resolved. 15 years after recording the vocal on one of the late Swedish superstar’s most beloved unreleased tracks, the anonymous singer behind ‘Enough Is Enough’ (also known as ‘Let Me Show You Love’) has stepped forward to identify herself.
The vocalist is Jenny Lindfors, a London-based singer-songwriter who now releases indie-folk music under the moniker Sailing Stones. In an exclusive interview with EDM.com, Lindfors confirmed that she is the uncredited voice on the unreleased track that has accumulated tens of millions of streams via unofficial uploads since the Swedish star’s tragic passing in 2018.
A pool bar in Malta and a 15-year mystery
The breakthrough moment came via a text message. A friend of Lindfors on holiday in Malta heard the track playing through a hotel pool bar and recognised the voice. When the barman explained that it was Avicii playing, Lindfors put the pieces together. “I was quite flabbergasted,” she told EDM.com.
The session itself, Lindfors recalled, took place in spring 2011 and was set up through Grammy-nominated British producer Hal Ritson, the founder of Replay Heaven, a London-based interpolation specialist. Ritson had hired Lindfors previously for vocal recreations of tracks by Sia and Madonna for releases on Spinnin’ Records. For this session, she was asked to sing in the style of Florence Welch.
EDM.com has reportedly reviewed and verified the original recording contract, which names Lindfors and Ritson as the vocalists on a song “provisionally entititled [sic] ‘Let Me Show You Love’ by the artist Avicii.” A separate invoice dated 15th May 2011 carries the line “Avicii / Let me show you love.” The contract was also reportedly brokered by Avicii’s longtime manager Arash “Ash” Pournouri.
Why she stayed silent for 15 years
Lindfors said the recording contract waived her moral rights, granting the client full freedom to edit, alter or remix the master recording. That clause, she explained, is exactly how her original vocal was lifted from the original instrumental and placed over the euphoric Avicii production that went on to fill festival stages and pool bars worldwide.
“I took to the internet and saw countless videos of Avicii playing a track that contained my original vocal at festivals and clubs. The music was totally different to what I’d sang along to in the recording session. Rips of the song were on SoundCloud and YouTube, and had racked up something like 30 million streams altogether. I later discovered it was one of Avicii’s personal favourites, and he liked to open shows with it.”

The track has been one of the most discussed unreleased Avicii records in the years since his passing, with names like Yolanda Selini and Amy Pearson having previously circulated as potential vocalists. The Australian DJ duo NERVO have also been associated with the record, having co-written its original melody, with Liv Nervo confirming in 2021 that the duo had to strip the record of Bergling’s contributions for any potential release after his estate declined to clear them.
“These people may all be involved in different capacities as writers, demo vocalists and so on,” Lindfors clarified. “But the vocal that’s out there is definitely me.”
Lindfors is now preparing to release a self-produced record called ‘Slow Magic’ on July 3rd, a collection of songs exploring motherhood. The first single, ‘A Promise to Love’, was written during a workshop led by Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes. At the time of writing, the Avicii estate has not formally announced any release date for ‘Let Me Show You Love’.
