The Magic of Tomorrowland is officially returning to China. Following a hugely successful inaugural edition, the Belgian festival giant has just confirmed that The Magic of Tomorrowland will come back to Shanghai for an expanded two-day experience on 17th and 18th October 2026. The immersive indoor spectacle returns bigger than ever, with a two-day lineup and a brand-new programme designed exclusively for the Chinese audience.
The Belgian festival has teamed up with Hero Esports, INS Land and Budweiser to deliver the experience inside the iconic Hero Dome at the Shanghai Bund waterfront. The event combines the Belgian brand’s renowned storytelling, world-class production and electronic music culture with cutting-edge technology and local creative influences.
An expanded Magic of Tomorrowland: two days, one main stage, full immersion
The 2026 edition of The Magic of Tomorrowland features a single spectacular main stage inspired by the festival’s legendary Planaxis theme. The Belgian team is transforming the venue into a fully immersive world where music, light, technology and creativity converge, with state-of-the-art production, immersive visual effects and a uniquely intimate festival atmosphere.
By bringing one of the Belgian brand’s most iconic themes indoors, the event pushes the boundaries of live entertainment. Across the two days, guests can experience a different artist lineup each day, creating two unique festival journeys within the Tomorrowland universe. Beyond the main stage, the experience also extends across exclusive merchandise, immersive experience zones, curated food and beverage offerings, interactive brand activations and a vibrant festival atmosphere.

The Shanghai run represents another important chapter in the Belgian festival’s long-term Asia vision. The Belgian flagship has already confirmed its first-ever full-scale festival in Tomorrowland Thailand, set to land at Wisdom Valley in Pattaya in December. The Shanghai return slots directly alongside that broader strategy.

Pre-registration for The Magic of Tomorrowland begins on 25th June via the INS Land app and INS Land WeChat Mini Program. Pre-registration is open to everyone. Attendees who successfully purchase tickets and have completed the necessary pre-registration will be eligible to receive the official Magic of Tomorrowland Treasure Case ahead of the show.
