Two decades in, Showtek Kate Ryan is not a collaboration many people had on their 2026 dance-music bingo card — but it might already be one of the most feel-good records of the summer. The Dutch duo have officially launched their brand-new record label F_CK THE SYSTEM, and they’ve opened the imprint with an official reinterpretation of Kate Ryan’s iconic “Ella Elle L’a,” out now via F_CK THE SYSTEM in partnership with Be Yourself Music.
A new home for every side of Showtek’s musical identity
Launched with Dutch independent powerhouse Be Yourself Music — the label home to Bakermat, Brennan Heart, Headhunterz, Mike Williams, Tinlicker, Imanbek and Vicetone over the past 20 years — F_CK THE SYSTEM is designed as a catch-all outlet for the full Showtek spectrum. Underground club records, festival anthems and crossover releases all under one roof. As Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen have said themselves, the duo have refused to let genre dictate their career — from their hardstyle origins to global crossover hits with David Guetta and Major Lazer — and the new label reflects that ethos in full.
The Kate Ryan collaboration itself has a very fitting backstory. During Showtek’s recent set at Fun Radio Ibiza Experience inside Paris’ Accor Arena, they tested an early version of the record in front of thousands. The reaction was immediate — the crowd sang every lyric back — and what started as a live edit quickly evolved into an official studio collaboration. It also continues the duo’s long-standing connection to French music, following years of work with David Guetta and their 2025 official remix of GIMS’ “Ciel.”
For Kate Ryan, the release arrives during her 25th anniversary year, alongside a huge European tour spanning Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and Poland. With over 3.5 million records sold, more than 500 million streams and a catalogue that includes “Désenchantée,” “Voyage Voyage,” “Libertine” and the original “Ella Elle L’a,” she remains one of Europe’s most successful pop-dance artists — and this new version keeps the spirit of the classic intact while giving it modern club energy. ‘Ella Elle L’a’ is out now, and F_CK THE SYSTEM is officially open for business.
