Some closure, at last. Defqon.1 and Q-dance have officially released the 2026 Endshow, which was filmed without a live audience on the deserted festival grounds following the shocking heatwave cancellation of this year’s edition. The 26-minute ceremony landed on YouTube this week, giving Warriors a bittersweet ending to a festival that never fully got to happen.

Defqon.1’s Endshow was captured on the empty Holy Grounds after the cancellation

Filmed after the entire 2026 edition was cancelled following the Netherlands’ first-ever KNMI code-red heat warning, the closing ceremony was staged on the empty grounds with the mainstage fully lit, an elaborate lighting production, and an overhead fireworks display. The soundtrack blends unreleased music from Bass Modulators, JDX and D-Block & S-te-Fan, with the “Losse Polsjes Anthem” becoming a defining part of the 2026 Endshow’s musical identity.

“Some moments are too sacred to remain unseen,” the organisers wrote in a statement. “After everything that happened last weekend, we knew we couldn’t leave this chapter unfinished. So, on the empty Holy Grounds, we brought The Endshow to life and captured every moment.” Notably, Defqon.1 also added that the Losse Polsjes Anthem has now become part of the 2026 Endshow history, after taking the online community by storm.

The full Endshow is streaming on Q-dance’s official YouTube channel. For the tribe, it is a symbolic goodbye to 2026, and a reminder that Defqon.1 2027 will need to write a new chapter next summer.
