The Dimitri Vegas tribute quickly became one of the standout emotional moments of Weekend 1 in Boom. It was the first Dimitri Vegas tribute of its kind in the DVLM duo’s Tomorrowland history, delivered under one of the most iconic Mainstage productions the festival has ever built.
Speaking to the packed Boom crowd mid-set, Dimitri took a moment to acknowledge his brother’s absence and shared a heartfelt message on his behalf, closing with the words: “We can’t wait for you to be back.” The moment sent a wave through the front rows, quickly went viral online, and became one of the defining emotional beats of Weekend 1.
Like Mike had earlier revealed via his official Instagram stories that he would be pausing all upcoming tour dates, including Tomorrowland, in order to focus on his recovery from ongoing health challenges. He confirmed he was not stepping away from music entirely and would continue working in the studio during the break. Dimitri, meanwhile, has committed to continuing the previously scheduled DVLM shows solo, keeping the brand’s signature Mainstage presence intact.
