Timmy Trumpet is officially back in album mode. The Australian trumpet-slinging DJ superstar has confirmed a brand new full-length record on the way – and one of dance music’s most iconic voices, John Martin, is on it four times. That’s four tracks with the Swedish singer whose voice has soundtracked some of the biggest crossover anthems in electronic music history. The duo recently collaborated on ‘All My Life‘.
John Martin is best known as the vocal engine behind Swedish House Mafia‘s ‘Save The World’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ – two of the most defining tracks of the last 15 years of dance music. He’s also lent his voice to David Guetta’s ‘Human’ (out earlier this year via Tomorrowland Music), Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash’s ‘Reload’, and the modern era of SHM material via Superhuman.
Timmy Trumpet, meanwhile, has spent the past few years pivoting more and more into hardstyle and psy-trance territory alongside his big-room roots. His recent Weekend 2 Freedom Stage close at Tomorrowland delivered exactly that: a full-throttle midnight-hour set that ran from big room into hardstyle, in front of one of the most passionate crowds of the whole festival.
