Kirstie Allsopp has taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to issue an apology to fellow travellers after her perilous journey to work during Storm Ciaran.
The Channel 4 presenter apologised to anyone she “mowed down” as she attempted to battle through the current storm battering Britain.
“Apologies to anyone I just mowed down going through Paddington,” she quipped in view of her 433,000 followers.
“I was the lunatic in a mac with wet hair shouting ‘sorry! sorry!’ & desperately pleading with the ticket gate operator when my ticket wouldn’t scan.”
The Location, Location, Location host then added: “I [red heart emoji] my job, and I’m very lucky to have it, but the travel is crazy.” (sic)
Kirstie, 52, received a ton of support from fans who responded to her frenzied post with one writing: “Hope your all sorted now Kirstie. Now,….Big breath, ahhhhhhh!” (sic)
A second added some advice: “Just buy a helicopter… problems solved.” (sic)
A third joked: “I was tempted to pile in with a personal witness statement and criticise your behaviour in true X tradition. But I am 2000 miles away.”
Later that day Kirstie posted a short video to her Instagram account revealing she was in the city of Chester to film an episode of the Channel 4 property show Love It or List It.
Panning the camera around so her 331,00 followers could see her location, she said: “Afternoon petals, this is the river Dee, which is looking exceptionally pretty today, right through the middle of Chester. Really sunny, with no sign of storm Ciaran here and really pretty architecture.”
She then continued: “Now, I’m off to Stockport this afternoon, having done a Love or List it here in Chester. And then tomorrow with our favourite person, Phil Spencer, in Chippenham, where I think Storm Ciaran may be a little more of a concern anyway, have a lovely afternoon.
Fans were excited with the update and took to the comment section.
One wrote: “Yes lovely place. Glad you have the sunshine,” whilst a second added: “Had a lovely stroll down the river this morning. We are very lucky to have a beautiful city to live in.”
A third commented: “Looks stunning. Hopefully, the good weather will follow you.”
While a fourth penned: “So excited for a new series!”
