Aaron Rodgers was in a New York State of Mind on Monday night.
The Jets quarterback took in the Yankees’ 5-4 loss to the Mariners from a suite inside Yankee Stadium as a guest of pitcher Marcus Stroman.
Rodgers was sporting a Yankees cap and tan hoodie while enjoying the baseball game.
The Jets QB is in town taking part in OTAs and he was spotted by the YES Network cameras during Monday night’s broadcast.
He was seen chatting with another guest in the suite when the broadcast showed him.
“Wonder what he’s talking about right there,” analyst Todd Frazier asked play-by-play man Michael Kay.
“It could be anything,” Kay answered.
Frazier then joked that he was surprised Rodgers wasn’t more focused on the game that he was attending.
“Well the TV is right there, so he’s glancing,” Kay pointed out.
Rodgers is of course known for his unique perspective on the world and the events going on in it.
Stroman allowed one run on three hits over 7 1/3 innings with six strikeouts.
The future Hall of Famer is coming off a year where he missed the entire season due to a torn Achilles suffered four plays in.
But he has been rehabbing and the Jets hope that he returns to form to guide them to the playoffs in 2024.
The team released a video on Monday of Rodgers working out during OTAs and throwing a crisp pass to the wide receiver on day one of the workouts.
Rodgers wasn’t the only celebrity in the building on Monday watching the Yankees and Mariners play in the Bronx.
Legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood was at the stadium to watch the Yankees play.
Flavor Flav was also on hand to watch and both artists were shown on the YES broadcast during the course of the night.
The Yankees fell to the Mariners after Clay Holmes blew a save in the ninth inning.
