Adele, 35, has released four record-breaking albums and has recalled hits from her first album, 19.

The singer has shared the meaning behind one of her first hits Hometown Glory, and it has a strange link to Sir Tony Blair.

Speaking during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Adele revealed she wrote the lyrics when she was just 16, the day after she attended her first protest.

Adele revealed that the protest was about Sir Tony Blair’s decision to go to war with Iraq.

She told Hollywood Reporter: “It makes me very emotional. I really miss London, but I miss the London from before all of this happened in my life.

“I remember it like it was yesterday when I wrote that song. I still feel like it’s my baby. And I don’t think everyone knows, but I wrote it the day after I went to my first-ever protest.

“In London, we were annoyed at Tony Blair because he was going to war with Iraq.

“It was like a million-people turnout in London, and we’re marching, and I was 16, and me and my friend Olivia went. We made our placard, and it felt so powerful.”

The former PM spoke out last year, admitting he “may have been wrong” about the decision to invade Iraq and Afghanistan, but insisted he thought it was “the right thing” to do.

In other Adele news, the Hello hitmaker confirmed she had secretly tied the knot with beau Rich Paul last month.

The singer appeared in the audience at her pal Alan Carr’s comedy show in Los Angeles, with an onlooker commenting: “I was at Alan Carr’s comedy show in LA tonight and Adele was in the audience. Alan asked the crowd if anyone got married recently and Adele shouted ‘I did’.”

Another audience member added to Deuxmoi: “When he asked if anyone got married recently she yelled ‘I did’. Super cute all around and was super sweet but dipped right before it ended.”

Adele and the sports agent were first linked in 2021 and are reportedly madly in love, and even have plans to start a family.

The Chasing Pavements singer already has ten-year-old Angelo with her ex-husband Simon Konecki.
