In a statement released on their website, AlphaTheta acknowledged that they have identified a security vulnerability affecting its PRO DJ LINK system. This issue could allow an unauthorised third party with access to the PRO DJ LINK network to view data stored on a Windows PC or Mac, as well as USB or SD cards connected to compatible CDJ/XDJ equipment. The company says it has not confirmed any cases of damage resulting from the vulnerability. It is advising users to update rekordbox, avoid using USB or SD cards containing sensitive data with PRO DJ LINK, and use a secure, password-protected Wi-Fi network when connecting players wirelessly.
