A British TV journalist has been blasted for asking openly gay actor Andrew Scott a “disgusting” question about fellow actor Barry Keoghan’s manhood.
The “inappropriate” incident occurred at Sunday night’s BAFTA Awards, where Scott’s film, “All of Us Strangers” was up for multiple awards.
On the red carpet, BBC’s arts and entertainment correspondent Colin Paterson stopped Scott, 47, to ask whether he knew “Saltburn” star Keoghan, 31.
Scott confirmed he did know Keoghan, prompting Paterson to probe the actor as to what he thought about Keoghan’s “naked dance scene” in “Saltburn.”
A flustered Scott shook his head and struggled to muster up a response.
“I won’t spoil it for anybody,” he finally said about the infamous scene, in which Keoghan’s penis is clearly visible.
Paterson kept at it, adding, “There was a lot of talk about prosthetics. How well do you know him?”
Scott again shook his head, nervously laughed, and walked away from the interview.
“Too much?” Paterson asked as Scott escaped.
The Post has contacted reps for Scott and the BBC for comment.
The awkward interaction quickly went viral, with Paterson slammed for his bizarre line of questions.
“This is frankly disgusting. Andrew Scott is there to support his multiple nominated film and THIS is what you ask? Then when he looks visibly uncomfortable the guy carried on. Truly horrid,” one person tweeted.
“Social media has ruined us. The need to ‘go viral’ from red carpet interviews is destroying them,” another person claimed.
A third wondered, “Why can’t interviewers be normal?”
Keoghan confirmed in December that he did not use a body double in the nude “Saltburn” scene, saying it was all him.
“It totally felt right,” he told EW. “It was fun.”
Director Emerald Fennell claimed they did 11 takes of the now-notorious scene.
Keoghan elaborated on the scene’s significance, adding, “It’s ownership. This is my place. It’s full confidence in, ‘I can do what I want in this manor. I can strip to my barest and waltz around because this is mine.’ I didn’t know I could dance like that, by the way. I was like, ‘Wow. Where did them things come from?’ Do ya know what I mean?”
