Ari Joshua’s journey from his South African roots to becoming a musical powerhouse is nothing short of remarkable. Growing up in Cape Town, his love for music ignited early, but it was in the vibrant city of Seattle, Washington, where his true musical journey began. Immersed in the jazz scene at Roosevelt High School, Ari’s talent flourished, earning him a scholarship to pursue his passion on the East Coast.
New York City became Ari’s playground as he honed his craft at The New School and Mason Gross School of the Arts. Reflecting on his time there, Ari recalls it as one of the most enriching experiences of his life. However, fate intervened, and the events of 9/11 prompted him to return to the West Coast, where he formed a lasting partnership with a fellow musician.
In 2004, Ari’s musical prowess propelled him to the forefront of the rock scene with the founding of Big High, a band that defied conventions and captivated audiences with their innovative sound. Beyond the stage, Ari’s passion for music education led him to establish The Music Factory LLC in 2005, a beacon of creativity that has touched the lives of thousands of aspiring musicians.
