Old-school heaven. Armin van Buuren has released the full video of his vinyl-only classic trance set from UNVRS Ibiza, and the tracklist reads like a love letter to the golden age of the genre. Filmed at the new-look Ibiza superclub, the set spans nearly an hour of pure classics from Chicane, Energy 52, James Holden, Paul van Dyk, Veracocha and more.
A tracklist stacked with the golden age of trance
The set opens with Chicane’s ‘Saltwater’ feat. Moya Brennan, before rolling through Sin Plomo’s ‘African Stomper’, the Three ‘N One remix of Energy 52’s timeless ‘Cafe Del Mar’, and the 93 Returning Mix of James Holden and Julie Thompson’s ‘Nothing’. From there Armin pulls in David West feat. Andreas Hermansson’s ‘Larry Mountains 54’, Andain’s ‘Beautiful Things’ in the Photon Project remix, Vimana’s ‘We Came’, Three Drives’ ‘Sunset On Ibiza’, and two Thrillseekers remixes: Chicane feat. Justine Suissa’s ‘Autumn Tactics’ and Reflekt feat. Delline Bass’s ‘Need To Feel Loved’.
The back half brings the peak-time firepower. The Thrillseekers’ ‘Synaesthesia‘ gets the Ferry Corsten remix treatment, followed by Armin’s own ‘Lost In Space’ with Jorn van Deynhoven. Then it’s straight into Cygnus X’s ‘Superstring’ in the Rank 1 remix, Paul van Dyk’s E-Werk Club Mix of ‘For An Angel’, Paul van Dyk‘s remix of Members Of Mayday’s ’10 In 01’, Randy Katana’s ‘Play It Louder’, Marcel Woods’ ‘Advanced’, and Veracocha’s ‘Carte Blanche’ as the closer.
