Armin van Buuren has officially shared the special set he played at the A State of Trance 25 Years celebration in Amsterdam. The Dutch trance legend’s set marks 25 years of the world’s most iconic trance brand, and the audio captures a journey through the records that defined the show across its history.

Crucially, the set lands as the centrepiece of the wider ASOT 25 moment. Armin recently invited fans to a free celebration at The Loft in Amsterdam to mark a quarter century of A State of Trance, and the new set release lets the global trance family relive the night in full.

Notably, the selection threads classics, anthems and IDs together. From Dead Can Dance‘s ‘Dawn Of The Iconoclast’ intro to the W&W 2026 mix of Motorcycle‘s ‘As The Rush Comes’, the trip cuts through the most-loved moments of the ASOT archive. Furthermore, the set also debuts new edits — including the System F ft. Armin van Buuren ‘What The F Edit’ of ‘Exhale’ and the Lilly Palmer remix of ‘In And Out Of Love’.

Meanwhile, the set also features key 2026 milestones. The Armin van Buuren, Richard Durand and Dicosis ‘Always You’ — the ASOT 2026 ELEVATION Anthem — sits at the heart of the set, alongside ‘U Got 2 Know’ with Hannah Laing and Wippenberg. Indeed, the run also packs the new SACHA features ‘Everlasting’ and the Rising Star Remix of ‘Set Me Free’.

Equally, the moment also doubles as a setup for what comes next. A State of Trance returns to Drumsheds London later in the year, with Armin also bringing the brand to ADE, Vietnam and Poland across 2026.

Still, the bigger picture is permanence. Armin van Buuren‘s ASOT 25 Amsterdam set lives as a snapshot of a quarter century of trance, packaged into a single, archive-ready experience. In short, listen to the full set and dive back into the tracklist above.
