Miami Dolphins receiver Braxton Berrios has never felt this way before.
He said his relationship with girlfriend Alix Earle is different from anything he’s ever experienced — and gushed over the social media influencer during their recent vacation to the Bahamas.
“The way that I feel when I’m with her is different and I’ve never felt that way,” Berrios said on the latest installment of Earle’s “Hot Mess” podcast during a Q&A with fans.
“So that’s one of my favorite things, how I feel when I’m with her — and it’s not anything like she has to do or say or change, it’s just being with her makes me happy and that’s one of my favorite things.”
Berrios and Earle were first linked after his split from model Sophia Culpo earlier this year.
Culpo claimed the relationship ended in “betrayal” and that Berrios cheated, which took place around the same time he was linked to Earle in February.
The wideout, who Earle refers to as “NFL man,” also explained what he loves most about being with her.
“One of the main things that I love and appreciate about us is that, and I say this to anybody who asks me, is that we have fun doing nothing or doing anything,” he said.
“We go to the grocery store like it’s an event. We’re absolutely those people and at times we were very aware of it, but we don’t care.
“Day to day when I see you, that’s what I look forward too … at the end of the day it doesn’t mater what we do were going to enjoy it and that’s one of the most special things to me… and we sit next to each other at dinner, not across from each other.”
The couple, who filmed the podcast on the last day of their vacation, said they started hanging out in March and things progressed from there.
They hesitated to make things official, as Earle recently explained she was taking her time while getting to know Berrios and building trust.
Earle confirmed that Berrios is her boyfriend during a surprise appearance at Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” live show during the Unwell Tour in Chicago on Sunday night.
Earle asked Berrios to be her boyfriend at the end of the episode.
He then presented her with a video montage of moments from their relationship and asked her to be his girlfriend.
Earle also recalled telling Berrios she said “I love you” first when she was on the sidelines before the Dolphins dominated the Broncos, 70-20, on Sept. 24.
She attended the game and tailgated with her friends.
