LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (+2.5) over Dallas Cowboys
Dallas went from first in total DVOA to 12th in one pitiful week at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers.
I’ve been fading the Cowboys all season, and I currently see a sinking ship taking on water.
Two of the worst coaches in the NFL face off this weekend with Brandon Staley and Mike McCarthy, and though it’s not fun betting on Staley, it’s better than betting on Dak Prescott.
Prescott is a bottom-10 quarterback in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.
The Chargers rank 13th in DVOA and have been missing Austin Ekeler since Week 1.
LA is getting healthier, had a bye week to prepare and doesn’t have to travel.
The Cowboys are banged up and are reeling off a terrible performance on “Sunday Night Football.”
Detroit Lions (-3) over TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
This may surprise some, but Jared Goff is the top-ranked quarterback according to PFF this season.
David Montgomery has come into a zone thanks to the fourth-best run-blocking offensive line, which matches up wonderfully with the Bucs’ terrible run defense (worst in the NFL per PFF).
Betting on the NFL?
Detroit is ranked third in DVOA while Tampa Bay is 14th.
This is a great matchup to target where you are only giving up a field goal. Detroit is going to be a tough team to play against when it gets a lead.
Last week: 2-0. Eagles (W). 49ers (W)
Season: 4-5-1.
