David Beckham’s son Cruz Beckham marked his 19th birthday by copying one of his father’s most famous tattoos. The birthday boy paid a major tribute to the former England star by getting the matching inking, which is a portrait of Jesus sitting down, on his waist.
David, 48, has the same tattoo on the right side of his waist. Cruz, who is the footballer’s youngest son, proudly posed shirtless in snaps, showing off the new artwork.
He was featured on the Instagram page of London-based tattoo artist, Pablo, who is known as @certifiedletterboy on social media platform, in view of his nearly 60,000 followers.
Sharing a string of images of Cruz’s completed tattoo and the process behind it, Pablo wrote: “@cruzbeckham matching tatt with @davidbeckham. Honoured to recreate this Jesus piece for you bro.”
Cruz’s birthday is today (February 20) and while his famous father, unlike him, didn’t go through a painstaking process to mark the occasion, he did wish him a happy birthday by posting a throwback snap of the pair.
“Happy Birthday to my little man,” David captioned the image, which showed him holding a young Cruz. “The cheekiest with the kindest heart keep being you & keep believing in your dream and working as hard as you do. We love you so much Cruzie & are so proud of you.”
Cruz’s older brother Romeo, 21, also shared a snap of them together and wrote: “Happy birthday lil bro love u always + forever @cruzbeckham.”
While their mother, former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham shared a video of Cruz alongside eldest son Brooklyn, daughter Harper and husband David, singing Sherry by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
She wrote: “Happy birthday Cruzie!! X We all love you so much and are so proud of the incredible young man you have become. Sweet, kind and incredibly talented. The world is your oyster, go get it!”
Cruz, who got his first tattoo, of a butterfly, at the age of 16 while on holiday in Miami, is set to celebrate his big day with family and friends later today.
He is believed to be single after reportedly ending his romance with Tana Holding a few months ago.
The aspiring singer was first pictured with his model girlfriend in May 2022, and they are said to have quickly fallen for each other.
The relationship followed on from an 18-month relationship with Bliss Chapman, which is said to have ended in March 2022.
