Elektron has released OS 1.55 for the Analog Four and Analog Keys, bringing a substantial set of new features to both the MKI and MKII versions of the synthesizer. The update is available to download now via the Elektron website.
Euclidean sequencer mode
The headline addition is a Euclidean Sequencer Mode. Two Euclidean generators algorithmically distribute trig-like pulses across a sequence, allowing patterns to shift, interlock, and evolve in real time. Pulses can be added, subtracted, and adjusted at the twist of a knob, producing rhythmic movement that ranges from subtle variation to dramatic structural change.
Page Loop
Page Loop gives users direct control over which sequencer pages to work in, with the option to loop a specific page or combination of pages. It functions as a focused editing tool, letting producers isolate a section and replay it while making adjustments before moving on.
Control All
Control All enables simultaneous parameter control across all tracks. Holding the track button while turning a parameter knob applies the change across every track at once, with the option to reload the saved state at any point. It is a tool aimed at fast, wide-reaching sonic shifts during performance or production.
Rotate Arp Sequence
The arpeggiator has been updated with a Rotate Arp Sequence function. Offsets can now be rotated to open up new melodic directions without manually rewriting the arp pattern, adding a new layer of flexibility to one of the instrument’s core features.
Additional changes
The update also includes Save Trig to Sound, a feature that saves a trig’s parameter locks directly to the sound, along with a number of hardware synthesizer performance improvements and bug fixes. Full release notes are available on the Elektron website.
OS 1.55 is a free update for all Analog Four MKI, MKII, and Analog Keys owners. Downloads are available directly through the Elektron downloads page.
