Giovanni Pernice has faced a barrage of backlash following his reported departure from Strictly Come Dancing. According to claims, the BBC performer is facing complaints of alleged “workplace misconduct”.
Earlier this week, a spokesman for law firm Carter Ruck told Express.co.uk that the BBC were “gathering evidence” after three of his former dance partners put forward complaints. He said: “There have been numerous serious complaints made to the BBC who are now in the process of evidence gathering. As it is still an ongoing matter no further comment can be made at this stage.”
Last weekend, Giovanni, 33, released a statement addressing the allegations against him, in which he denied any wrongdoing. As part of the lengthy post he wrote: “To my dear fans, You will be as surprised as I am that allegations have been made about my dance teaching methods in the media this week.
“Of course, I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name. Those who have followed my journey on Strictly Come Dancing over the last decade will know that I am passionate and competitive.
She added: “He should be working closely with his team or agent to manage anything that is coming out about him, but address anything that he feels the public should know.
“His team should his best interests at heart and handle anything in a real way and best approach.”
Meanwhile, speculation is rife that Giovanni might be considering a new career path amid claims he could be leaving Strictly Come Dancing.
Giovanni Pernice’s absence from an internal memo listing this year’s professional dancers has sparked rumours of his departure from Strictly after nine years.
As per MailOnline, Giovanni has established Rock You Productions Ltd with Companies House, indicating activities related to ‘operation of arts facilities’.
This move hints at the possibility of Giovanni opening his own dance school, should he decide to bid farewell to his Strictly days.
