Gogglebox star Stephen Webb has shared a health update after breaking his ankle and being forced to quit the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice.
The 52-year-old took to his Instagram to tell his 270,000 followers about the nasty accident on the ice.
Stephen posted a picture of himself sat on a sofa, with his foot in a cast and propped up onto a footrest.
Despite being in pain, the television personality was all smiles as he rested his adorable pet pooches on his stomach.
He wrote: “Thank you all for your kind words and messages. On Wednesday last week during my training session for Dancing on Ice I fell and broke my left ankle.
“I’ve had surgery and will be on crutches for a few months meaning, I’ve had to leave the competition which I’m absolutely gutted about.
“I was having so much fun and enjoying learning to skate,” Stephen expressed.
The Channel 4 star went on to say that he will be tuning into the show when it airs and will be cheering on the other celebrities taking part.
“I’m doing my best to keep my spirits up and will hopefully be back on my feet again very soon,” he continued.
Stephen’s followers rushed to the comment section to send their well-wishes to the star.
One Gogglebox-enthusiast commented: “Can you come back to Gogglebox then please whilst you recover? Miss you two but get well soon.”
Another follower said: “Oh no! Sorry to hear that. Speedy recovery and lots of wine.”
A third added: “I was actually going to watch doi as you would of been a breath of fresh air you have such a wicked sense of humour get well soon I look forward to your future escapades.”
The new series will feature a crop of new celebrities, including Claire Sweeney, Ryan Thomas and Hannah Spearritt.
The 16th series of the hit show is expected to air on ITV1 in January, according to previous series’ air-dates.
