Jasmine Harman shared a snap of herself living it up on a beach in Estepona today, before sharing that a new spin-off show, A Place in the Sun: What Happened Next? is due to hit screens soon.

“The news you’ve all been waiting for… sorry to leave it so late in the day but it’s been a manic one!!” she told her 140,000 Instagram followers.

The star, who celebrated her 48th birthday today, could be seen gleefully grinning and raising a strawberry-topped cocktail glass to the camera as she revealed what she’d been up to.

“Over the past 2 decades, one of the most common questions I’ve been asked is ‘what happened next…?’ And finally, you are going to find out!!!” Jasmine teased.

“Very excited to announce 40 episodes of “A Place in the Sun – What Happened Next?” Coming soon!”

The star, who joined A Place in the Sun almost two decades ago, back in 2004, added that it had been “heartwarming” to get the chance to have a blast from the past and catch up with “some of my Househunters from years gone by”.

The burning question for Instagram fans is which house hunters will be featured – and for now, Jasmine is staying tight-lipped.

She simply asked: “Which Househunters are you hoping to see in this new series???”

Despite the teasing lack of detail, followers responded with enthusiasm in the comments, whilst also stopping to wish the presenter a happy birthday.

@angelramblings exclaimed: “That’s absolutely fantastic!!! This has been a show that needed to be made! Oh please give us an update on Tina in the cave house!

“Happy Birthday btw!!! Hope you’re having a good one!”

@peter_666788 had his mind on the same househunter, writing: “This is great news Jasmine. To answer your question it has to be Tina and her cave house. Would love to know how she’s doing.”

The episode, screened seven years ago, was one that Jasmine herself has described as a firm favourite in the past, as it involved a woman who had scrimped and saved to earn enough to buy a Granada cave-house.

She’d had a budget of up to £19,000 – and Jasmine made her day when she revealed she’d found the perfect place for way under that amount, at just £14,500.

Jasmine reminisced over the emotional episode on Instagram years later, revealing that she’d been pregnant with her son at the time, and it had been the hottest July on record in Spain.

Amid the sweltering temperatures and baby bump in tow, the star had used the opportunity to stay in a cave-house for the very first time.

“The budget was the lowest I’ve had, and I really relished the challenge. I was astounded by what we found!” she exclaimed.

Now, fans will be eagerly awaiting an update on not just Tina, but all the other favourites who have been connected with their dream homes, courtesy of Jasmine and the rest of the A Place in the Sun team.
