Jean-Michel Jarre will play Ibiza for the first time this summer

For the first time in his legendary career, Jean-Michel Jarre will perform in Ibiza. This summer, the pioneering French electronic composer will headline an exclusive live show at Amnesia on Sunday, July 5, as part of the club’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Notably, the booking places one of electronic music’s true innovators at the heart of the island’s milestone year, further reinforcing the significance of the moment.

Notably, the performance marks Jean-Michel Jarre’s debut on the island, a surprising milestone given his five-decade influence on electronic music. Over the years, with 22 studio albums and over 85 million records sold worldwide, Jean-Michel Jarre has consistently operated at the intersection of sound, technology and spectacle. Furthermore, from the Eiffel Tower to the Great Pyramids of Egypt, his record-breaking concerts have drawn audiences in the millions, reinforcing his status as one of electronic music’s most visionary live performers.

However, Ibiza offers something entirely different. Instead of vast open-air landmarks, Jean-Michel Jarre will bring his immersive audiovisual vision into the comparatively intimate setting of Amnesia’s Terrace. “Amnesia is a trip — an escape from time,” Jarre said. “I’m thrilled to do my very first Ibiza concert to celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary.”

Support on the night comes from Berlin-based Joplyn (Live), whose ethereal vocals and cinematic production add a contemporary layer to the evening. Meanwhile, long-standing Amnesia resident Les Schmitz will guide the dancefloor with a DJ set shaped by over two decades inside the club’s walls.
