The culinary world is filled with many a classic combination, but the one Jameson Williams concocted is most definitely not one of them.
The Lions wide receiver shared a meal on his Instagram story on Tuesday afternoon, and it included what on its face would be a normal McDonald’s spread — but with a unique twist.
Williams had both a McDouble and what appeared to be an Oreo McFlurry, which generally are entities that are eaten separately.
But, in this case, the 22-year-old plopped part of his dessert right on top of his hamburger, which is not something you see every day.
Some fast foodies say they did French fries into shakes, but this creation sent plenty of social media users into a tizzy after the photo went viral.
“I love Jamo but this should be illegal,” wrote one X user.
“This why he don’t get fantasy points,” wrote another after Williams grabbed two catches for 18 yards on Sunday, which was worth just 3.8 fantasy points in an ESPN PPR league.
“I still have love for Jamo but a McFlurry on a burger is unhinged,” ESPN’s Insider Field Yates chimed in.
Williams had been suspended in the offseason for six games over gambling infractions, which eventually reduced to four games after the NFL updated its betting policy in September.
One user commended Williams’ work to get back into the action, but couldn’t stand by his meal.
“Up until this point I’ve enjoyed his hard work getting back into the fold,” the user wrote. “With that said, trade him now.”
At least one X user thought the combination wasn’t as bad as another rather interesting choice an NFL player has made with their morning beverage.
“Still not as bad as Will Levis putting mayo in his coffee,” they wrote.
In the case of the Titans rookie, he turned his love of mayonnaise into a lifetime supply, courtesy of Hellmann’s.
Who knows, maybe Williams will turn this moment into free food for himself.
