Maren Morris and husband Ryan Hurd have split after five years of marriage.
The country singer, 33, filed for divorce on Oct. 2, noting that “irreconcilable differences” is why they decided to part ways, according to documents seen by Us Weekly.
Morris and Hurd, 36, tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed a son, Hayes, in 2020.
The estranged couple first met in 2014 when they collaborated on Tim McGraw’s song “Last Turn Home.”
They officially began dating a year later after staying friends.
The pair currently have a prenup, and have often worked together in the past, such as on her 2022 song “I Can’t Love You Any More.”
In a 2019 interview with Us Weekly, Morris couldn’t help but gush over Hurd.
[Ryan’s] always been a creative collaborator in my life, that’s how we met,” she said at the time.
“We were paired together six years ago to write a song. We didn’t know each other and it just kind of grew from there,” the crooner recalled.
“So music has always been really intertwined in our love for each other, and now that we aren’t just songwriters, we’re artists, the timing of being married and also touring is very chaotic at times.”
