France has quietly produced one of the most exciting new voices in riddim. Roi, real name Antoine Lissardy, is a 24-year-old producer from Versailles, France. Notably, he has spent the last three years turning a minimal, low-slung take on the genre into a genuine international breakout. His signature track ‘Roi The Digger’ caught the attention of some of dubstep’s biggest names. Additionally, that includes a personal play from Skrillex himself. Now, Roi is preparing his US debut at Lost Lands 2026, alongside a headline Los Angeles date and a US tour supporting SVDDEN DEATH.
Lissardy grew up outside Paris. From childhood, he immersed himself in electronic music. His taste evolved from the Skrillex era into heavier dubstep like Excision, whose visual shows he studied obsessively. However, watching a video of riddim producer GramGreene at a Lost Lands pre-party pulled him toward the minimal end of dubstep. Furthermore, that moment defined the sonic identity he still carries.
He began producing around 2019, initially making type beats while he learned the tools. By 2021, he had a proper grip on his DAW and shifted fully into dubstep and sound design. Additionally, in 2023 he tested a riddim alias on the side. Within three months, that side account had more followers than his main project, which sealed his creative direction. He rebranded as roi. Shortly after, he released ‘Roi The Digger’. That track changed everything.
Support arrived quickly and from the top of the scene. Infekt was an early and heavy supporter of ‘Roi The Digger’. Furthermore, Subtronics has played Roi’s music consistently for three years running. Notably, that support began even earlier under his previous alias roisvcks. Meanwhile, Skrillex himself later played ‘Roi The Digger’ out, a moment Lissardy points to as his proudest career milestone to date. Additionally, Shaquille O’Neal (DJ Diesel) has played his track ‘My Dick Hit The Mixer’ live. That same track actually features SHAQ’s own vocals. Beyond that, further co-signs have come in from Samplifire.
Live, Roi is scaling fast. Recent standout performances include his Northern Invasion 2025 set, a Rampage Open Air B2B with fellow riddim artist ONARA as ONAROI, and a solo performance at Rampage Weekend 2026. Furthermore, he completed a European tour supporting SVDDEN DEATH earlier this year. Notably, SVDDEN DEATH then personally called Roi’s manager to request him for the upcoming US leg of the same tour.
The next chapter is stateside. Roi’s US debut arrives with a solo performance at Lost Lands 2026 in Ohio, the festival he has cited as his favourite for years. Immediately after, he plays a headline show at 1720 in Los Angeles, in a B2B with ONARA as ONAROI. Additionally, that LA date is selling fast. Furthermore, requests for further US shows are already piling up.
In his own words, Roi wants to keep pushing his minimal riddim signature. “Just one bass, drums and some ambiances,” he says of his production philosophy. Meanwhile, more releases are planned before the end of 2026, alongside continued expansion into Asia and the US.
