The Mets have interviewed former Padres manager Andy Green for their open manager position, The Post has learned.
Currently the Cubs bench coach, Green played four seasons as a utility infielder in the majors, including four games for the 2009 Mets.
Green, 46, managed the Padres from 2016-19, finishing fourth twice and fifth (last) twice in the NL West while compiling a 274-366 record.
The Mets have been looking for a manager since dismissing Buck Showalter at the conclusion of the 2023 season upon David Stearns taking over as president of baseball operations.
They have also interviewed Yankees bench coach Carlos Mendoza.
